Following the success of the Adopt-a-River Program in its 2025 inaugural season, the Council and the NRWA have committed to expanding the program for the 2026 field season. The partners have set a goal to expand to 100 volunteers, six group pulls, and a coverage area of over 400 acres, which will include some tributaries and ponds. Delightfully, the local Sea Scouts have already signed on to adopt a section this season.
